CoPilot Taxi, Rear Fitting Child Seat The CoPilot Taxi is designed for children up to 40 lbs/18kg (nearly 3 stone, up to about 4 years old).  A quality rear rack is included and once setup the childseat can be quickly clipped on and off the bicycle. The Blackburn EX1 rack includes three or four-point fixing for attachment to most mountain bikes, hybrids and ladies 'step-thru' frames. When not used for the childseat the rack can be used for normal panniers/luggage. Since the EX1 is available seperately a secondary rack can be put on another bike and the childseat swapped between machines. As well as a front safety bar there is a three point harness with Fastex buckle for restraint. The foot supports adjust to fit growing legs and include handy foot straps. The straps and main seat are padded, this padding can be removed and washed. The CoPilot Taxi meets U.S. safety standard ASTM and includes Hi-vis stickers for additional safety. As with all childseats, practice riding with a dummy load and read the manual beforehand. Helmets are recommended for childseat occupants (and parents!) CoPilot also supply the reclining 'Limo' model that can be used off the bicycle as a standalone baby seat.
